Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the websites, forms, communications and services of Credit Restoration Institute ("CRI," "we," "us"), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, HUD-approved housing counseling agency. By using our websites or submitting a form, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.

1. Our Services

CRI provides housing counseling, credit education, homebuyer education and related nonprofit services. Our services are educational and advisory. We do not guarantee any particular result, including any change to a credit score, the removal of any item from a credit report, or approval for a mortgage or other credit.

2. Referral Form

If you submit a client referral, you confirm that:

• the client has given you permission to share their contact information with CRI;
• the client has agreed that CRI may contact them by phone, email and text message about our services; and
• the information you provide is accurate to the best of your knowledge.

CRI decides independently whether and how to serve each referred client, and works with every client according to that client's own interests.

3. Communications and Text Messages

By providing a phone number, you agree that CRI may contact you by call or text message about your referral, appointments and our services. Consent is not a condition of receiving services. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel at any time and HELP for help, or call (804) 823-9601. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

4. Third-Party Services

We may ask you to use third-party services, such as a credit-monitoring provider, to take part in our programs. Those services are provided under their own terms, and CRI is not responsible for them.

5. Website Use

You agree not to misuse our websites or forms, including by submitting false information, information about someone without their permission, or harmful code. Content on our websites is owned by CRI or its licensors and may not be copied for commercial use without permission.

6. No Legal or Financial Advice

Information on our websites is general education and is not legal, tax or investment advice. For advice about your specific situation, consult a qualified professional.

7. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability

Our websites and content are provided "as is." To the fullest extent permitted by law, CRI is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from use of our websites or forms.

8. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia.

9. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. The effective date above shows when they were last changed.
